I took the boat out with Bob and his son Sam a couple of weekends ago. We spent about four hours catching bluegills. This is a spot we found in a cove. Based upon my reading, it appears that local sports clubs have been working with the state agencies to help make this already good fishing lake even better. One of the things they have been doing to help fish habitats involves knocking down trees and fastening them to the bank using chains and such. This felled tree was next to some underwater structure that held dozens of bluegills that we had a lot of fun with.
This is an artificial structure put in place to help provide cover for fish.
One of the bluegills, on the smaller size of the range.
