Pre-Christmas Blizzard ’09

Kate and I had fabulous plans for a trip to NYC for the weekend. But with 14″ to 20″ of snow predicted we weren’t really sure what it would be like trying to come home tomorrow. We were all packed and at the last moment I decided to watch an actual weather report, rather than read updates on Facebook. The experts were expecting worse than the plebes. Last night we decided to hunker down with the cats for the weekend. So far we’ve watched a movie and have moved on to a documentary about the event the movie was based on. And I’m thinking we’ll later work our way to the vinyl audio soundtrack. We’re fully immersed. Of course, later there will be a mission of some sort, with or without Kate. I fancy a walk up to Baltimore Avenue shortly with a camera. I’ll shortly go observe 1.5 million briefly silent people.
